Grid Sponsor in Create Account

I cannot for the life of me find where I add the Grid Sponsor box to the Create Account process. I did see a reference here to custom forms that can be turned on using the system-jopensimregister plugin, but on this fresh install I have no system-jopensimregister plugin. Did I perhaps miss a step?
