I know you are working hard on the new version of JOpenSim, What other features will it include on release? Anything in regards to account modification through the opensim database?

I mean, would we be able to change God level, or account type through the Joomla interface? If not we can still use the database

Ah, that's what you mean ...

This was actually planned for 0.2.2! But I still have to do some bugfixes for 0.2.1 and maybe I will have a look if I can integrate this now already. I'm not sure though if I can make it - it depends on how much time is invloved with it ...

Would we be able to to choose male or female avatars? Or would we be able to list a selection of avatars for the users to choose from on registration?

Choosing predefined avatars is on the wish list since long time already. But I'm afraid this will not be implemented on 0.2.1 yet. I definately want to add this in one of the next releases though!

Since the requests for the new version really increase lately, I will try to publish the new version today or tomorrow with what I have until now.

The requested features from above will then be part of the next version though. And I'm pretty sure, that the next one wont take as long as this one

If anyone would like to help and test the version before I publish it, feel free to send a PM to me for a "pre release" download link. I also will be inworld in my demo grid today at approx. 3 pm GMT (see Events ) for feedback on it.

I have updated to the complete version of 0.2.1 New plugins and everything and I have a list of preset surnames for the avatars however it appears that the system is not showing a drop down menu. Its also not blocking Denied surnames when I have it set to that. Noticed that region and parcel search doesnt seem to be working either. Going through the OpenSim logs to see if there are any errors in there.

I could locate at least the register problem. The reason was an outdated manifest xml I added to jOpenSimRegister-System by mistake.

Please download the new versions (0.2.1.2).

After installing, go to "Extensions" --> "Plug-in Manager". Click on "System - jOpenSimRegister" and have a look on the right side: "Enable Register Forms". Ensure that the desired form is enabled.

Click on "SAVE" even if the forms where enabled before. Like this, the parameters get saved correct.

If we installed the 0.2.1 version already, can we do an update? I clicked "Find Updates", and then did an "Update", but it didn't seem to do anything (jOpenGrid status stayed the same, and jOpenSim Register produced an error).

Should I un-install and then re-install? What is the best way to do an update?
