Problem with installing

I must do my website all new again ...

Installed joomla again , amde a new database etc ...

Now I want to install com_opensim_0.2.3-final and I do get an error :





Another menu item with the same parent has this alias
Error building Admin Menus



How can I solve this?

A few quick questions: did you install over the old database or a new database? The error message which you have indicates that you already have a menu link with the same alias, which could be caused by a unclean reinstallation, the other option is when you installed the sampledata it assignes a few aliases like profile and this stuff, you might want to check if the alias you try to use is taken by one of those

Using Linux fedora 13 here ... 7.3.1 ...

is the database correctly set? if remote database did you open port 3306? did you edd in the settings yourhost and port 9000?

Hey i tried out 0.7.4-rc1 and all works but the groups didn't not ...
So i went back to 7.3.1 ...
oh well ... any one testing out there ... ?

Hi oz ... typically, these spammers apear when I'm off for holiday ... ... sorry for that ... it should be already removed and banned.
