Component alternatives

Hi Folks

No doubt, kunena is (or has been) probably one of the best forum components for Joomla.

Lately I get more and more troubles with it during their updates making me think to replace it.

If you know a good alternative to it (and maybe a way how to convert existing topics), pls let me know

This one is pretty simple and straight forward ..

extensions.joomla.org/extension/chronoforums/

I believe there are bridges for phpBB and cie ...

I know chronoforms and use that on some other website already. Didnt know they also provide a forum component as well. Thanks for this hint I'll look into this next days and see if there is any possibility to convert.

I would be sad to no longer use Kunena

It's not fixed that I WILL switch ... recent huzzles during updates just made me think about alternative possibilities
